Gunmen have killed a lecturer, Professor Paul Otasowie, in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of the University of Benin Sources said that the senior staff of the university was shot dead by the armed men in front of his residence on Ekehuan road in Oredo Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday.
Investigation revealed that Otasowie was killed because he resisted attempt by the hoodlums to kidnap him.
He was was a former director of the university’s Industrial Training and Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme.
